Why the GB Energy Twitter and Mastodon bot accounts have gone dark following Twitter platform and BMRS API changes, and where to track live grid data now.

Following the issues with Twitter since the takeover by Musk — lack of moderation, Grok Bot’s explicit altering of images, and changes to the Twitter API itself — I have left the platform and, with it, my desire to keep the energy accounts running.
When BMRS changed their API, I therefore did not have the desire to adapt to this new (mostly improved) API to support these accounts; as such, the Twitter and Mastodon accounts have gone dark.
Should people express desire to have these accounts back on Mastodon or maybe on Bluesky, please get in touch.
